A Year Later: Three Persistent Issues Plaguing My Pixel 10 Pro

A Year Later: Three Persistent Issues Plaguing My Pixel 10 Pro

Having spent nearly a year, specifically ten months, with the Pixel 10 Pro, I've had ample time to thoroughly evaluate its strengths and, unfortunately, its persistent weaknesses. While the device initially impressed with its camera prowess and clean Android experience, a handful of recurring issues have significantly dampened my enthusiasm. These aren't minor quibbles; they are fundamental problems that continue to plague the phone, making the long-term ownership experience less than ideal.

Firstly, battery longevity remains a notable concern. Despite software updates, the Pixel 10 Pro struggles to consistently deliver a full day's usage without needing a top-up, especially during periods of moderate-to-heavy use. This often leaves me glancing nervously at the battery icon by late afternoon, a frustration I didn't anticipate from a flagship device. Secondly, the haptic feedback, while generally excellent, occasionally exhibits inconsistent behavior. There are moments when the vibrations feel weak or entirely absent for notifications, breaking the immersive feel of the device and leading me to miss important alerts. It's an intermittent but annoying flaw that disrupts the otherwise polished user interface.

Finally, and perhaps most frustratingly, the device still suffers from occasional software glitches and unexplained freezes. While less frequent than at launch, these moments of unresponsiveness or app crashes pull me out of the experience, demanding a restart or a forced app close. This lack of consistent stability is particularly disappointing for a flagship Pixel, which promises a seamless Google-tuned experience. For these reasons, my initial love affair with the Pixel 10 Pro has evolved into a complicated relationship, where its undeniable positives are frequently overshadowed by these three nagging and unresolved issues.
