Taiwan Investigates Supermicro and Partners in Widening Nvidia Smuggling Probe

Taiwanese officials are intensifying their efforts to combat the illicit trade of Nvidia GPUs, launching a series of coordinated raids that have now targeted Supermicro Computer's operations in Taiwan. In a significant escalation of the ongoing probe, authorities searched the company's local office, alongside the premises of two key supply chain partners, and the homes of six individuals connected to the case.

The widespread operation saw a total of nine locations subjected to scrutiny, with six individuals also summoned for detailed questioning. This concerted action underscores the seriousness with which Taiwan is approaching the alleged smuggling of advanced technology, particularly components that are subject to strict export controls and international sanctions.
